Urgent – stewards needed
It is disappointing, but I have to ask for stewards please.
We need volunteers for the second week at Wellington Country Park and also the last five days at Abingdon. The good news is you will camp for free whilst you are stewarding and you will be giving something back to the DA that you clearly love? Without referees you can’t have football matches and without stewards you can’t have DA meets!
We might be able to muddle through at Welly but Abingdon will need to be cancelled or shortened without volunteers.
If you can help please drop me an email and let me know. You know it makes sense!

Stop Press – restricted river access at Mapledurham
The management of Mapledurham have just informed us that there is filming going on and as such the whole of the river frontage is fenced off and is “out of bounds” to us. However, the launch jetty is still available for boaters but they cannot land anywhere along the river bank which is fenced off for obvious reasons.

Anyone arriving at this meet will need to follow Government and C&CC COVID guidelines. Please follow signs when arriving. Groups of 6 or two households may meet outdoors only.
Own sanitation is essential. There are no EHUs and no rubbish bins – you need to take all your trash home.
Due to the large number of bookings the Stewards MAY need to peg out pitches so hopefully everyone has enough space. It would be helpful if you did not save spaces for others but we appreciate there may be a few who need to.
As usual all DA rules will apply of which the Steward has a copy.
