Big thanks to Graham and June for stewarding Mapledurham this weekend. Only 10 units out but the weather I am sure put a few off.
Only 5 meets left but plenty to enjoy and look forward to.
Anne and Andy welcome us to Paddock View, Copythorne on Friday 21st July and the THS runs until Sunday 30th. An excellent flat site in the New Forest National Park. The New Forest Show from Tuesday 25th until Thursday 27th is well worth a visit and is just a few miles away, the other side of Lyndhurst. Site fees are £10 pun. I understand that a fish and chip van might be calling in on Tuesday.
Our next meet is our THS at Wellington Country Park, Friday the 11th to Monday the 28th August. Site fees are £19 pun. Judy and Jacky are opening the site with occasional help from Kevin and Tony. Pack your dancing shoes because we welcome back our Bank Holiday Saturday Disco. So the marquee should be up which gives room to socialise whatever the weather.
Our Feast of Lanterns then takes place at Warren Wood Farm from the 8th to 10th September. A new site last year and pleased to say that the Dew Drop Inn is open and is only a picturesque walk through the woods. Theme for decorations on Saturday evening is ‘Nursery Rhymes’ so plenty of scope for your imagination. Food will be served after the judging. Site fees £11 pun.
We invite Aylesbury Vale DA to join us at Abingdon Vale Cricket Club from Wednesday 20th September to Sunday 1st October. Always a very well attended meet. A lovely historic town on the doorstep and next to the river Thames. Site fees are £12 pun.
Finally and as usual we sign off at Bridge Villa, Wallingford. 6th to the 8th October. Another historic town next to the Thames. Electric hook up is included in the site fees of £25 pun. Booking is essential as we are limited to 25 units. I will post again when I know the booking arrangements.
So much to look forward to so if you haven’t been out this year with the DA hopefully there is something here to tempt you?
Best regards
